IEEE International Conference on Communications | 24 May 2026

The UK-Taiwan 6G Joint Workshop will be an opportunity to meet and hear from a range of telecoms companies and researchers from Taiwan and explore opportunities for collaboration on advanced communications research and innovation.

TITAN is proud to be participating in the IEEE Communications Society’s flagship conference the International Conference on Communications (ICC) taking place between 24 and 28 May 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland.

As part of the conference, we will host a half-day workshop provisionally titled ‘Beyond 6G convergence of terrestrial, non-terrestrial and quantum networks’, which will include two keynotes, with invited papers and six additional invited papers. The workshop will be chaired by our Lighthouse Project lead, Professor Michalis Matthaiou from Queen’s University Belfast, on 24 May from 14:00 to 17:30.

More details and the full extent of TITAN’s participation at the event will be provided soon.

IEEE ICC 2026 will be held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) and the Crowne Plaza Hotel, two of Glasgow’s premier venues. Themed “Connected World for a Sustainable Future,” this flagship conference of the IEEE Communications Society will present a comprehensive and high-quality technical program, featuring 12 symposia, cutting-edge tutorials, and diverse workshops spanning the full spectrum of communications research and innovation.

IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) is one of two IEEE Communications Society’s flagship conferences (ICC and Globecom). Each year, close to 2,000 attendees from over 70 countries attend IEEE ICC to take advantage of a program that includes exciting keynote sessions, robust technical paper sessions, innovative tutorials and workshops, and engaging industry sessions. This 5-day event brings together industry and academic audiences to learn about the latest research and innovations in communications and networking technology, share ideas and best practices, and collaborate on future projects.

TITAN is part of the Federated Telecoms Hubs (FTH) alongside CHEDDAR, HASC, and JOINER. Together, we conduct world-leading R&D and create a new knowledge-sharing framework, roadmap technology, develop skills, and engage with standards while instilling a commercialisation-focused mindset across academia.
